In addition, "We're going to have WSOU alumni come back and do shows," Omar Ahmad, a diplomacy major and the station's music director, revealed to The Setonian.
Steve Stracquatanio, a Biology major and WSOU's programming director, explained to The Setonian the impact the station has on the local metal scene.
"WSOU has brought it up, started it. Our motto is bringing the underground to the above, and that's what we do. We are one of the only sources for a heavy metal radio station. From the start, we were the only place promoting local bands and more established acts, and we're still doing that," he said.
